We are currently capped

Due to recent increase in patient demand and registrations, we have reluctantly capped our patient list.

We are only accepting patients in certain cirumstances, they are as follows;

  • Adopted Children
  • Children under 16, Who's Parent/Carer is already a pre-existing patient here
  • Newborn Babies, Who's parents/carer is already a pre-existing Patient here
  • Someone who is moving in with a patient who is already registered with us at the same address within our catchment area.

If one of the above situations does not apply to you, you will need to contact GP allocations. You can either complete the online form at https://www.westsussexccg.nhs.uk/your-care/finding-a-local-nhs-service/help-for-patients-if-a-gp-practice-has-suspended-new-registrations/

If you do not have access to the internet and need to register with a new practice please contact West Sussex CCG on 07876 843178 and 07407 024498 for details of practices that are currently accepting new patients.

Temporary Registrations

If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.

To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
